The Camera
Smile City booths feature a 12+ megapixel digital SLR camera, giving you the flexibility to reprint and share photos at any scale. Our wide angle lens captures everyone you can cram in the booth.
Choose Color or Black & White
Step inside the booth and select your photo experience with just the push of a button. Either Vibrant Color or Classic Black & White.
Twin LCD Displays
The screen inside the booth lets you keep track of your shots, while the screen outside lets your guests follow the action.



Fun Props
Enjoy full use of our props in your pics. We'll provide glasses, lips, mustaches, masks, and chalk boards for custom captions on the fly.
Make a Statement - Customizable Exterior
Smile City booths are completely customizable. We can wrap the booth exterior in any graphics or text. The possibilities are endless.
Hardcover Photo Books
After the event you can order prints directly from our website. We can even produce a hardcover coffee table photo book featuring all images from your event. With custom covers, these books make a fabulous gift or keepsake.

Colorful Backgrounds
Our standard background color is red, and you can upgrade the paint color to compliment your event.

How big is the photo booth?The booth footprint is 6 feet by 3 feet, and 6 feet 6 inches tall. Yet still large enough to accommodate group photos. The booth breaks into multiple components for transport, it is designed to fit through standard doorways and standard elevators. We like to have an 8 foot by 8 ft area to place the photo booth, but if space is limited we can typically squeeze in.

How many people can fit in the photo booth?The current record is eleven faces in one photo, this is achieved by some guests leaning in from the sides. Inside the photo booth the bench is designed to seat two adults comfortably or three kids.

Can the prints be customized to fit my event?Yes, your prints are fully customizable, this is included with every package.

How long does a photo booth session take?Guests begin by clicking either the “color” or “black and white” button. This starts the photo sequence, in which four photos are taken with a five second countdown between each photo. After the final photo, the booth prints two 4x6 prints within 8-10 seconds. The whole process takes approximately 60 seconds.

Do I get a digital copy?Yes, we include an online gallery for you and the guests to browse, share, download, and order prints. The online gallery can be password protected or open to the public.

Do you offer 2x6 photo strips?The booth prints two 4x6 photos with each session. We do not have a 2x6 option. We have found that each of the four photos on a 2x6 strip are too small in our opinion, and the portrait (vertical) format of our photos does not lend itself to a 2x6 strips layout.

Does setup time count toward my photo booth time?No, delivery and breakdown are separate, and the hours operation do not start until the photo booth opens and ends when it closes. Typically we arrive 1.5 hours before the booth is scheduled to open. What happens if the photo booth breaks down?We are always on-site to make sure the photo booth is operational. If an issue arises we carry backups of every component of our photo booth (computer, printer, camera, lights, flashes, power cords, etc) so we can be up and running in no time.

Are there any hidden fees?We have simplified our packages to include everything, including sales tax. The one time there is an additional fee is when we incur parking charges while at your event (however we do our best to find free street parking).

Do you have insurance?Yes, Smile City Photo Booth is fully licensed and insured. We can even supply a certificate of insurance with you and/or your venue as named additional insured, at no extra charge.

Where do you travel?We travel to you, wherever that is. Typically, anywhere in Northern California, sometime beyond. Beyond 40 miles of San Francisco there is a nominal travel fee.

What is required to reserve a Smile City Photo Booth?We require a signed service contract and 50% deposit, payable by check, Zelle, or credit card. The final payment is due 30 days prior to your event. Note, if paying by credit card there is a 3.5% convenience charge. The entire booking process can be done by email.
